Midway Bang

CHICAGO:  It was Slang.... the Local informed him... it was called a Midway Bang.. it was cross between a Taxi and a Bus... it was like a bigger car... 

His tour guide of sorts said they called it a Midway Bang....  maybe it was kind of like how they called a bus a Wa Wa in Cuba.. it was the only correlation he could make in the moment his only frame of reference.

Earlier in the evening he had walked out on the dock that extended onto the lake.. he just rose straight up and oddly could not come down... it was all a spectacle below him.

A rising up in his dream...  a bit scary up there...  he clawed to get down.

He had previously engaged in a meal with his co workers around a large table.. lots for every one to eat.. he had noticed it was large servings of the same fare for everyone and found it curious that everyone around the table was a man and they looked a lot alike... dark hair and blue eyes... and similar facial features .. they must of surely been related... he contended.

Later one of the women folk chimed in from another room down the hall...  how it was that he was such a wonderful man and had an impeccable sense of the RHYTHMIC ...  got me there he thought, non..e the less it was nice of her to say.

Earlier he had stood by the concrete utility pole with rebar running up the center.. and watched it fold over to the 90 degree position... as if it had turned into a molten lava... he could not get his head around it... maybe it was electrical current...? it seemed quite impossible... it was laid over and his friend was dead... dead as a door nail...   next to it and  he  could not remember a damn thing.

The coming alive..... in retrospect to the whole incident ...

the only thing he could think was leaving behind WORD... in some form or fashion... else.. NADA....

up up up he had floated...   

He had to ask... Who  So and So WAS? 

But he had no Speech.

He hailed a Midway Bang.. hopped  in and disappeared  from the face of the earth forever.
