The case of the Deteriorating handwriting... In Cursive and the Caused to Wonder

It had to have been in the very early 1980's..........

Mr. Chance was Strolling along S. Roosevelt Blvd.... along the seawall .... in Key West... the Island of Bones....

He came across an obviously abandoned Sailboat tethered to the seawall there....

His curiosity peaked..... as he peered inside of it from above...

besides there was  no one around... why he would have a peek........ you know a...... 'look see'

Clambering down........

Inside he found a log....... a journal of sorts.... handwritten in blue ink in cursive in a simple spiral bound notebook......... you would see hundreds of in any High School.......... Sans this ones with its unique content....

He opened it to the first page to find neatly written paragraphs by whomever was Captaining the small vessel...........

It would seem the Chap had been voyaging in and near the Island of Andros.... in the Bahamas.. and now the near derelict vessel  was Laying in Key West........ destined for who knows where  if ever again?

The Writer of the log went on how whilst in the Bahamas he had the misfortune of having stepped on a Spiny Sea Urchin.... and how the spine broke off in the bottom of  his foot like they do.......

From that point forward his decline...

The appearance of the handwriting  on the  closing pages  into those that went blank had decidedly gone from neat and tidy... into a Scrawling barely legible   Cursive....

Of his misfortune.

and created  the  Caused to Wonder.
